2015-Present

BGC is winding down.  BGC no longer has a staff.  The firm Principal , Bob (or REB), works less and specializes more.  He subcontracts other experienced local geologists (and support services).  Today, BGC's main services are:

            1.  Field investigations and reports (verbal and written) to support real estate transactions, primarily in coastal southern Oregon.  We assess the risk of bluff failure, landsliding, soil creep, landslide impact, inadequate soil bearing capacity, and related geotechnical concerns of buyers and sellers of real property.

            2.  Geotechnical studies of unimproved parcels, existing building pads, and existing subdivision lots to support conditional use permits, building permit applications, and engineering / architectural design services provided by others.

            3.  Limited-scope slope stability investigations and monitoring (using tiltmeters, slope inclinometers, and survey-controlled grid-pin arrays).

            4.  Continuing to support long-term clients.
